Wedding planner in South Florida and beyond, principal designer and owner, Peggy Russell, started Destination Wedding Studio in 2005, and has since planned and designed events from the Florida Keys to Aspen, Chicago to Jamaica, and New Orleans to Savannah. As a retired architect, Peggy has always enjoyed blending both the creative and logistical sides at the same time. Going from designing homes, orchestrating weddings was a natural next step, as it still allows Peggy to see a couple’s dream come to life.

Alex joined DWS after years of a teaching yoga full-time. Initially she worked on all things digital having studied photography in school. Once relocated to Florida, she soon made the transition to planning and executing events. Alex is detail-oriented, easy-going, and loves when she makes you and your guests feel at ease on your big day!

Peggy's other half, Chuck, comes to Destination Wedding Studio after years as a builder and developer. He is the one behind the scenes making sure no detail is left forgotten, no candle left unlit, and no chair out of line. He is the undercover magic maker of the DWS team!
