Answers to Some Most Common Questions

frequently asked questions

01. WHAT SERVICE WORKS BEST FOR ME?

It depends on your needs and how much guidance you want.  A planner can be as involved or as little involved as you need and or desire.  We definitely think if your wedding is considered a "destination" for you, that having a little more help than just the Day Of goes a long way.

02. I HAVE A BUDGET. WILL IT WORK IN THE KEYS?

There are different venues and vendors that work for different budgets. This is definitely something a planner can help you navigate.  We definitely advise being as transparent as possible with your budget so you get steered in the right direction.

03. I CAN ONLY COME DOWN ONCE PHYSICALLY TO PLAN. IS THAT ENOUGH?

Yes! We often do all the planning remotely and meet our couple the week of the wedding so once is enough.

04. Music is really important to us. how do we select someone ?

Each couple has non-negotiables.  For some its music, others decor, and for others, it's photography. Part of planning is going over the different vendors and making sure they are aligned with your vision and budget.  For our Lady In Waiting and Concierge couples you will receive our list of Preferred Vendors at the start of planning to guide you properly.

05. what are the wedding seasons in the keys?

Spring is the busiest and the most expensive time to get married in the Keys. Vendors and venues fill up well in advance.  Summer is extremely hot and humid in the Keys, however, costs are somewhat less expensive because of this, and the Keys tend to be less crowded during the summer months.  Fall is again somewhat less crowed and less expensive prior to the holidays.  Weather is usually ideal.  Winter can be crowded over the Holidays and costlier.  But weather is typically beautiful and not as humid.

06. How do we get started?

After the Promise (what we call our contract) is signed and the initial deposit placed, we "meet" by phone and discuss overall planning and first steps. We've got you!

07. do we need a marriage license from florida?

Yes you will need to obtain a marriage license from Florida in order for your marriage to be legal.  We will send you the details of how to get it.  There is no need for one from your state.
